Passed with flying colors... 100%. In fact for extra credit, I'll point out that #13 was probably about more than Buddy Holly alone. OMG! What happened to that half a century?

I know right gone in 60 seconds, oh wait, that was a movie in the early 70s about a Mustang.......

This is obviously from my February trip to Yellowstone. I have more of this pine marten I just have to get them worked! They are so fast and zip through the trees like crazy. It was hard just to get focused on them!

Awesome shots, thank you 😊

These images of Great Horned Owls were captured in Green Valley, AZ last night. My wife and I have never had the opportunity to be this close to owls. It was very cool. I had to look up the proper name for the babies since they have left their nest in a nearby Joshua Tree. The locals that watch them closely say the fledglings will leave their mother around the end of May.

"Like other baby owls, baby Great Horned owls are called owlets. They’re also more generally known as chicks. Like other baby birds, at birth, after hatching, Great Horned owls are called hatchlings. While they remain in the nest, they’re called nestlings, and when leaving the nest, they’re called fledglings."

After 30 years I am retiring from B&H Photo as of 05/03/24. My job is being transferred to Geoffrey Ngai <gngai@bhphoto.com>.

Working for B&H and interacting here with all of you has been a singular and entirely satisfying experience. I want to thank everyone here who helped make it so. When I started at B&H I never expected to be here for 30 years, Now it's time to step back, stop setting the alarm clock every morning, and spend more time paying attention to my wife.

Best wishes to one and all.

I was on a freeway that had a closure, and they used a "zipper" effect on traffic. Worked like a charm! No one got upset because the other lane was barging in and both lanes moved nicely.

The State DOTs actually design the merge lanes to work this way, and they do call it the Zipper process. It will work if people aren't idiots. This is the way it's supposed to work.

Guy in thru lane let's one car in, goes on in lane, the next guy let's one car in, goes on in lane, the next guy let's one car in, and so on. Open up one space in front of you to let one car in, nice and smooth. Unfortunately there are too many people that won't let that happen and that's what causes the delays. The people who race up in the open lane think they should just be able to cut in anywhere, if they are polite about it most of us in the thru lane that read the sign a mile back and did the right thing, will let them in. The creeps that try to bully their way in don't get much help or respect for their behavior. The people who moved over 2 miles ago don't want to let anyone in. I get that, but we in the thru lane control how the process works. Make it smooth and we all get through the jam sooner...

Why buy a book? In a previous post I listed a website that has the various "sayings" listed as they came out by year. You don't need to find my post, just Google Burma Shave signs and you can find it for yourself.

Great! Thank you!
