I am a recently renewed photo hobbyist. I started out many years ago with a SLR Pentax (film) camera. Then moved to a Canon SLR. Along came digital, which many said would be a passing fancy! Went over to this "new" system, still in the Canon family, since most of the old lenses worked on DSLR. After many years and dollars of digital photo hobby, I became convinced that I was missing out on the convenience and technological advances of "cell phone photography". I donated all of my "old fashion" equipment to a local photo club.

I then retired from business and found myself missing my old hobby. The cell phone cameras, as good as they are, just didn't cut it as a hobby tool. I am now shooting with a Nikon D3500 which is an excellent starter camera.
