Dont let a little thing like a camera stand between you and Italy. My wife and I (she is kinda goofy also) spent a week in Tuscany 2 years ago . We rented a Villa with some friends and found out later that this Villa was used bu Musolinni and his henchman as a hunting villa. I hope you get to go. The country is beautiful and the people are great. We are so glad that we spent most of our time in the country. The buildings are so old and all have a story to tell. I had a point and shoot Canon and most turned out good.

You live in a nice area of Mi.My wife and I have a summer home in Sault Ste Marie. We love it up there. Bought it about 6 years ago to get away from the heat here in Austin,Texas. You sound like a well rounded type guy. Law enforcement. pilot . photographer and boating. The only thing I can relate to with quite a bit of experience is the boating. Boatin safety courses should be mandatory before a person is allowed on the water. If I could go back some 50 years I would be in law enforcment or a ship capitan.
