Don't know if there is an adapter, but if there is, it has to have a glass element in order to be able to focus the lenses to infinity ( which will degrade image quality). This is due to register differences between the systems. Add to that the fact that the aperture won't be held open (stop down shooting as in pre set lenses) & no metering (AFAIK) , makes it not worth it. I'd suggest just shooting some film now & then if you want to use the older Minolta lenses ( I do with my older Minolta gear)...As for using two lenses attached to each other, is this for shooting macro?...That can be done...

Screamin Scott - thanks for the info. With so much out there - I knew one of you would know what I was talking about and be able to advise me. Thanks again :)

This is my first attempt at water drop shots.

I TOTALLY agree! This is GREAT :) I haven't gotten into working on water drops yet but it is one of the things that I find facinating. Maybe I can pick your brain on how you were able to make this look so perfect.

The only time you NEED a release is if that image will appear as a commercial usage. So if it is used to promote the sale of anything, you need a release. So since you want to be a stock photographer, they will require a release for any human or recognizable property you submit since the ultimate use is beyond your control. 99.9999% of people shown in stock images are posed, so getting a release is no big deal - you have to hire them or coerce friends, so getting a release signed is just part of the business.
If you want to use strangers, you gotta suck it up and ask - and yes, you need their name, address, and contact information.
Look at any stock agencies site and see if you see even ONE image that looks like it was not a setup/posed image. So getting a release should not be an issue.
What will be an issue is making any real money in stock. :-)

Well put. Some of my relatives are not happy with me doing my volunteer work as the dept photographer but I don't care. I am giving back to my community. I have a paying job so it doesn't bother me. Everyone keep up the nice work.

I understand what you are saying about doing volunteer photography. In my life - I love art of all types and my oldest son (26) loves music. Several years ago I began shooting young high school bands with a production company here in Pittsburgh, Pa that promotes and gives exposure to these up and coming new groups. I gave a free photo shoot as one of the prizes for the winner as well as shooting any band that wanted professional pics during each night of competition - the deal was 25 shots for $25.00. Basically paying for my gas for the evening and a few cans of pop. Anyway, I get in the same conversation with family - since I'm disabled now and don't even get $500.00 a month. But I simply LOVE watching these kids get their dreams and having decent photos is a step up for many of them. I can't do much to give back to the world of art / music - but I do what I can. I give you props for following your heart too.

I sure think Your photo's are awesome and I feel the same way about taking picture as a great art form. You can express so many things in just the way you ame the camera. I love the warm or soft pictures. Also Landscapes are another favorite of mine. Thank you for posting your work.

I know just how you feel. Sometimes I am driving down the road and can't pull over fast enough to get a certain shot before it changes - lol My Nikon is with me all the time - just in case.

Your paintings are so beautiful. To be able to put on canvas what your mind sees is such a gift. Welcome!

My goal is to take the shots - then paint them. I started doing just that but then my oldest son was diagnosed with cancer and I haven't done much painting since then. It is always something I will have when the other things in my life settle down some.

Wow, you truly have a gift, your work really inspires me. Thanks for posting.

Thank you for your kind compliment. I have had little time to be on this site checking out all the work. Just the one time I was on here I had to make myself log off - I could have read the forums for hours and looked at all the wonderful shots.

Wow... great work. You have really found the way to instill emotion in everything you do… very intimate… and very impressive! Do you have a website? I want to see more!

Thank you. I just shoot what moves me and try to capture that moment to share. I don't have a website but I do have a Facebook page that I use to post my bands' photos and other photo shoots I've done, as well as the pics I do just for my own pleasure. Look under Linda Lavelle Kerner - there is only one on Facebook - there are tons of photo albums and also a link to my Myspace page. I appreciate the encouragement.

Thank you. Hey could you tell me how to upload another avitar - the Administrator removed mine because this is a family website. I want to upload something for my avitar but can't see how to do it now.

Thank you! I didn't take the Avatar photo - that was taken by my first photograher who I modeled for back in 1979 - William Penberthy from Zelienople, PA.

Nice pics and a very beautiful girl, just be aware of your specular high-lights as in pic 2 & 5. Just the tip of her nose is lit up which can be distracting. It's awesome that she doesn't wear make-up and you get a natural look, but due to no foundation you're gonna get some hot-spots as in pic #1. I always bring coffee filters to blot the skin and eliminate hot-spots, great little trick.

Keep up the awesome work!

GREAT idea! I will certainly remember that. Next time - what to you think of me using a slight dusting of translucent powder - and then removing most it with a large fluffy makeup brush?

Thank you so much. I went to college at 43 and up until then - rarely even took photos. My professor taught that if you are able to master natural lighting - you will have no trouble with studio lighting. We were also taught to learn to shoot in B&W since she wanted us to see the composition, balance and focus of each shot. I just loved her way of instructing us on the important issues first. We still keep in touch. I have to give props to Nancy Jean Rose for being so great at her job :) -
