I live here and photograph Zion regularly and am happy to answer questions for you about your trip. I will message you also.

For others, Zion has been snow up high this year and the Narrows will likely close this spring (April) and typically closes until June/July. March - October are the busiest months in Zion but I can't stress this enough, there are so many areas to escape people in Zion, no matter the time of year or day. Do check the Park's website for current closures as some of the options mentioned above are closed and will be closed in March.

Thanks Rob,
Sunrise itself was a bust but the morning light after sunrise is often just as good. Really a cool area in the winter!

Yeah, I just found out, Wow!

I've tried to hike to it but it's too dangerous for solo (for me!) due to a large area of exposed sandstone you have to cross. The hike starts at Canyon Overlook! Crazy...but I'm content with seeing it from below now:). Enjoy Zion.. it's my backyard:)

A cold morning in Bryce Canyon on a mellow hike below the rim. The hoodoos glow with strong, angled light and the shaded snow reflects the cool toned skies. I absolutely love the winter light here, it really is better than any other time of year. The snow here is only a dusting but later in the Winter it can pile up several feet deep. Fingers crossed!

I only heard about this wanna be arch yesterday, so I took a couple pix of it this morning before the sun rose above the cliffs. I'll take some this afternoon when the sun will light it up better. Second one is 150mm, the first is 600mm.

That "wanna be" arch is massive and super rare for Zion😎 cool huh?
