Unfortunately, it doesn't work with the A7ii.
I just ordered the adapter as if I remember correctly the Sony website states not all features will work. I assumed that meant that it would not be capable of exceeding the camera specs duh....but not that all it will do is physically connect them.

Found the thread below and thought this forum might be what I have been looking for....
https://www.uglyhedgehog.com/t-578617-3.htmlHello...Rob here, 50 yr old wannabe photographer. Got married March of 21...Jen loves pinup and hot rods/rockabilly scene. I have always been a car guy and who does not like to see a girl all done up. I purchased a K5 and a lot of old glass after my daughter was born in 09. But I never really got into it. Being Jen likes to do photoshoots I decided I would really get into it this time. I picked up a Fuji X-T20, a X Pro1 and some nice APSC X mount lenses. I have a Song A7II on the way, I never 100% understood the whole FF vs APSC and how it relates to 35mm, where the image goes through the lens etc. I finally understood and decided a FF was the way to go with all the old glass I have. Somewhere in my search I found out about the Minolta 85mm 2.8 varisoft and the Pentax 85mm soft focus lens. They are on the way from Japan now lol.
I had been looking for a forum that had info for those of us just getting started. I stumbled onto this forum today. The feedback on the portrait photos in the top thread was really informative and this just seemed like a great place to check out. Usually information has been covered before and its just a matter of finding it. But we also dont always know the questions to ask. Anyway, have a 3 day weekend to dig through the forum.....
