As I look at the images of the’38’ camera, I am reminded of my mother’s’pony’ camera of the 1950’s. I feel Kodak, in an apparent effort to make affordable products, cheapened is product from one machined from solid materials to one stamped from sheet materials. As I remember, the Kodak name evolved from one of “quality” to simply “one of the herd” by the corporate leadership of the company. That, I feel became the demise of the company.

I’ve been a life long professional certified educator in secondary education with a strong interest in photography, now retired.
