I’m convinced that the older I get the dumber I am! Can someone please tell me if there is an auto setting for black and white on a Canon 60D? I just want to take some shots and let the camera decide.

Hi ya folks, I’m thinking that I would like to try some nature photos. Specifically birds. I’m retired and those high dollar telephoto lenses are out of my budget. Can someone recommend a decently priced lens that will allow me to try this and see how it works out and maybe I’ll go back to work and save up. Not sure if it matters but I have a Canon 60D. Thank tons!

I’m 67 years young and have dabbled in photography since I was in high school. I didn’t have the time to be more serious with it because life got in my way. Now that I’m retired it’s time to get with the program. So here’s my question, I recently obtained a Canon 60D and I need an answer and hope somebody out there has an answer. I know there’s an auto setting for color but is there an auto setting for black and white? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
