For editing EOS RAW files, DPP does an excellent job for free software. It's somewhat time consuming and doesn't offer all the tools of commercial (paid-for) software, but is a reasonable way to get started with RAW.

If I have some experience with the free version of Lightroom Do you think it would be worth it to skip DPP. I was told you can't focus stack with the 80D in DPP.

Canon Digital Photo Pro. Does anyone have experience or knowledge of this software. Wondering how it compares with other programs. Can you focus stack. I’m fairly new to photo editing and not sure if I want to subscribe to light room or other paid systems yet. I have used the free mobile version of light room (can’t edit Raw files) and apple i movie. I purchased my first DSLR about a year ago(Canon 80D) and am very interested in editing and printing my raw files. Thanks
