I found it in the SW sky. Easiest way for me was to go out before it got dark enough to see stars, but after the sun went down. They were the first "lights up". I would say probably 6-7 inches off the level ground if you hold a ruler out in front of you and measure up.... maybe 30 degrees or so?

Great job!!! I have the same set up, except add a 1.4 Teleconverter. With that, the lowest F stop is f9. Any suggestions on the other settings with this modification?

Last evening, I took my Nikon D750, Tamron G2 150-600 and a 1.4x teleconverter and tried to take pics of the Saturn/Jupiter thing. I did get it.... but have since found out that with that set up, I really need shutter speed at about 0.4-1 second. My F stop is at 9 with that set up. Last nite I set ISO at 12,500.... any better ideas for my set up? want to try again and see if I can clean up the shot.....

Hello! I was told I should look this place up for great information on all things photo.... so here I am!!!

I am an RN with 28ish years of military service, now working with the VA. I have been shooting pics since I was 8. First camera was an old Argus C-3. Moved up to Canon AE1. Thru the years, have shot a bunch of point and shoot... now that I retired from active duty, I decided I needed a hobby. I now shoot a Nikon D750, have an Olympus TG6 for Micro, and am having a blast!

Hope everyone has a great day!
