Oh okay I better check, I know they want to print some for publication but I don't know what size they need. Thanks for your help!
Thanks. Will Dropbox give me the option of making it a TIFF or changing the format for optimal transmission.
I'm so glad I asked all of the suggestions have been extremely helpful. Thank you for your response.
Okay thank you I will try that.
You're right as I recall I emailed them from Picasa and not as an attachment. Thank you, your feedback is helpful.
Thanks for all of the helpful responses!
I did a shoot for a group of performers using a Canon Rebel XSI and a Tokina 11-16mm wide angle lens. I emailed the pictures to the respective recepient who is now stating the pics are compressed and not suitable for print or use on social media. What can I do to provide the pictures in a usable format? I shot them in raw/jpg. Thanks.
Hi Mike,
Thanks for sharing your thoughts I now have a better understanding of the dynamics. I think UHH is a great forum to learn and have been a subscriber since 2011 this may be the second of only two topics that I've posted and as such I am not well versed in the protocol. While there may be little patience for a novice like me I didn't feel ridiculed but thought the tone was a bit harsh. I use the site because I hope to one day be able to take amazing shots like (your's) and the one Swamp Gator posted. I experienced the tone as punitive rather than just a suggestion that I post a topic in a more descriptive manner. People don't know until they are told or taught and so now I do know and in the future hope to not waste anyone's time based on a vague non-descriptive post. I too have clicked on topics and it wasn't what I expected and so I moved on it wasn't that big a deal.
Apologies to all whose time I wasted!
Thank you Mike your perspective is appreciated.
Thanks for the tutorial on how to post a topic despite your obvious frustration you've been quite helpful. I now know that you have the lens but never unfolded the paper that came with it, tremendously helpful, thanks. Now go out and see the beauty in the world capture it, reflect and move beyond petty impatience and frustrations!
