My alarm has gone off. Time for me to pack and go. I don't mind working but getting up this early and travelling into Whitby is getting harder and harder. I'm looking forward to a vacation!
Everyone have a good day and stay safe and well, or feel better soon.

Good morning from a 42F and clear Shoreline area. No plans again today, so hopefully will get on with some knitting at some point.

DS has brought home a 6 month old puppy, so Mr. Ric and I were doing a bit of dog sitting yesterday while DS was at work. He says she was a friend's dog who needed to re-home her and he's supposed to be finding a new home for her. I think she nabbed his heart and he's thinking of keeping her. He has no money to support a dog!!! She's not allowed in the house because she isn't reliable about not peeing in here, so when she's outside on a very long leash and all by herself, she's doing a lot of whining and barking. I'm sure the neighbors are not too happy with us at the moment. I took her for a walk yesterday afternoon so she could get some exercise and we played throw the ball with her when I returned, so she had a nice nap after that. Will see what comes of all this.

At any rate, I hope you all are staying safe and well and having as nice a day as you can. xxxooo

That sounds like a puppy who needs lots of exercise. Are you both up for it. Since your son is working, you will be puppy-sitting often.
Good luck!

I’ve been waiting all day for my chemist 🧑‍🔬 delivery 🚚 but he’s been now…..trouble is there could be anytime between 10 —5pm……well, I got it in my head o needed to go to the bathroom 🚽 but did I have time? 🕰️ I didn’t dare go. The later it got the more I needed it. But…worry not. Just when I was thinking of going he came to the door. 🚪 3.30. I’m so relieved now he’s gone in more ways than one…..

I have no news. 🗞️ again. So stay strong 💪🏿 safe, and polite. My thoughts are out to sisters Lisa and jinx. Luv yawl. See you tomorrow where I might not get on line, I shall be at Stephen’s tomorrow. They are talking about the hot tub 🛁 this weekend. They’re aren’t, all there in their minds. I’m still into slippers and cardigans. I’ll take a sudoku book.📕 xx

My brother doesn't use his hot tub anymore and it is built into a room off his house. (How much easier could it get?)
Love you back Susan

You writing about a tulip 🌷 festival, made me remember about Japan when Stephen was there the other week. He was sight seeing and ended up at a …wait for it….penis festival!,,,, there were candy lollies made to be like a penis, there were some dogs in prams with a jockeys cap and trousers. Everyone was having a whale 🐳 of a time.🕰️ seemingly they have a weekend every year! Could be a lot worse couldn’t it?

That funny! You couldn't hold a festival like that here.

I completely agree. Haven't seen either of them yet today. She's a sweet dog. We plan to get another dog at some point, but not right now. It's been almost 15 years since we had our last dog. xxxoo

Mum wants a new dog. We keep reminding her that we have a cat that is terrified of dogs and would probably have a heart attack!

Good evening, the roof is sheathed and just awaiting it's metal. I believe they are going to start tomorrow. I put wood away non stop all day, starting at 6 a.m and had 3 cords put in the shed by 3 p.m. Another year done, hope I can continue a few more. DD suggested a heat pump. I been researching them and asking others opinions for a few years, not sure how valuable it would be in a house that doesn't have insulation in the walls. These old houses aren't easy to insulate after the fact with their tight lath and plaster/ fire barrier walls. You can get individual pumps for each room, might consider that in the future. Beautiful sunny day, tomorrow back to rain.

Lisa you don't need days like that, so disheartening when they don't validate what you saw. Hugs to you and your DD. xoxo

Ductless mini splits for both heating and cooling. They just need a fan to outside.
One of our old neighbours had a heat pump with a long underground run and ended up adding an electric furnace for when the temperatures got into the - teens in the winter. The heat pump just couldn't keep the house warm enough. Probably would work better for your area because you don't have the wild temperature swings like this area does.

Thank you for the info. I’ll ask son to help me. I don’t know what a browser is

Your browser would be Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, or Apple Safari, whatever software you use to browse the internet. They all store lots of things for you to make browsing easier (mostly).

I got up off the couch and had a sharp pain in my right arm and lower right side of neck. My heart seems to be beating fine on the machine. I think I used my upper arm to push a heavy shopping bag on the couch’s arm. Tylenol helped. I wanted to call a friend for suggestions but it was late. Then my phone rang and it was her. She couldn’t sleep so called me knowing I’m up late. Has happened like this a few times.

You both think alike.
I'm hoping your arm is feeling better after the Tylenol.

Good morning from a cloudy, dull Norfolk with rain expected soon. Nothing on the agenda, have finished my throw-on jacket, might need to block it a bit. Have got enough yarn left over to make a young child's jacket so will start that this afternoon. DH has gone shopping, just a week to go and he'll be off on his holiday. Have a good day if you can. xx

Enjoy your peace.
Will you post a picture of your thow-on jacket?

Good morning from Port Hope Ontario Canada. It is 6:12 am EDT and 9'C (48'F) going up to 17'C (63'F) with mostly sunshine. It went up to 22'C (72'F) yesterday by suppertime.
My teeth are now cleaned and polished, which is good. I've maxed out my dental benefits on my health insurance. Now everything is out of my pocket and claimed on next year's tax return.
I went to Knit Night but spent a lot of time apparently just staring at yarn from my seat in the circle. Knit Circle was full. Almost all the regulars were there. I tried starting a sock but I know it won't fit, it just gave me something mindless to do.

Thanks Pam, had a lovely few hours and sent my friend home with a few London Cheesecakes, a distant treat from his past, he was thrilled. Also had a nice bunch of flowers and a big chocolate cake from him. Shame I don't eat much cake but wouldn't tell him that. xx

You'll have to share that cake with the neighbours!

I’m feeling a bit brighter today. I haven’t been to Wendy’s, I just couldn’t pull myself together, and she wasn’t very good either, so we left it for a week. I have actually been videoing with Josephine. It’s so nice to see her again. I’m not in at the weekend so I’d have missed that and it must be about 3 since I saw her. She’s got some beautiful yarn 🧶 mohair and a mixture of something else. And she’s shown me the pattern she is going to do and it looks gorgeous.

Cassie came this morning.🌅 there was a cufuffal where she parked her car 🚙 because her parking spot isn’t there anymore. Just 6 bloody (yes bloody) and I’m being polite fence posts stuck up in the air. And of course Andrew needed to be out and it was like playing dominoes. Oh I do hope Stephen doesn’t kick off on Friday when he comes down here. Because the man who’s bought the land was always a terror when he was young. He’s a year older that Stephen, anyway I’m not going there. So, as I was saying Cassie came this morning and I went into Karen’s while Andrew took the dog 🐶 down the beach 🏖️. It’s freezing here today, the rest of the country are supposed to be basking, we’ll, not us…..

Jinx,I’m thinking of you again. You WILL start to cope with things when you are ready. Thinking lots about you. Lisa, i think 🤔 you are doing very well. Haven’t heard from Angela for a while, is she ok? 👍 I’ve just looked out of my window and it looks like the sea mist 🌫️,fog is coming in…..if I die and get a chance to come back I don’t want this north east coast. It’s terrible. 😢

Love yawl, stay safe, be good to each other, and cope better than I do….. when I get a bit down, I get a jolt and when I think 🤔 this mood will pass. It does. But I have to get to a low, so as to get up again. See you tomorrow.

Sounds like you all will be adjusting. Can the new owner not show you a plan of what he is doing?
I hope your low doesn't last too long. Perhaps it will change when the weather turns warmer?
