Here is what I did.
Since the shadow creation was fairly complex.
I laid vellum on top used a pencil and copied outlines.
Scanned vellum outlines and print a ghost line paper.
I wrote numbers in the ghost line heads.
Scanned the numbered document.
Wrote two paragraphs of numbered names.
First was an alphabetical paragraph of names with Bold last name.
A second paragraph is in numeric order.
Used Word to merge the two.

Thank you. I like the PDF option. My wife's brothers and sisters are not computer knowledgeable. The original print is the oldest sister's property. I will apply the digital copy to Family Tree Maker. I can do two sided printing on my printer.

Have an old black and white photograph, 1907, with 35 people that is 8 by 10. Also, have documentation and black and white copies with names listed and arrows pointing to individuals.

Here is our present plan: We have it digitized with our printer scanner at 1200 bpi. Would like to get an editor to place numbers on the individuals, some white and some black depending on the color of their apparel. Then would add a section to the right of the photograph for numbers with names. This would give kin hardcopy if taken to Walmart for printing.

Three questions: What is the best editor to accomplish this approach?
Do you have other suggestions to better identify individuals?
Should the names be at the bottom versus the side?
