Review of studio shots on larger screen while shooting.
Thank you to all who responded. This has been a bit of a sticky wicket. Yesterday I contacted tech support at Tether Cable Company and he provided helpful information explaining why I've had such a difficult time tethering my iPad to my D500. The iPad Pro interface for 8th generation is called Thunderbolt and with Thunderbolt 3 or 4 I'm told that no software is needed to tether the camera to the iPad. Unfortunately, my iPad Pro is a 7th generation which has a "Lightning" connection, which does require software available from the "Cascable" company as described in the YouTube video mentioned.
My quest continues today and I will probably purchase the software which I think is about $30 and then find a long cable with the "lightning" connection.
Thanks again for all the useful suggestions.

I can't for the life of me find a compatible cable online. Any suggestions from anyone who has successfully connected a D500 to a seventh generation iPad Pro would be most appreciated.
Thanks.
I have purchased both cameras and lenses from them. Excellent service and accurate descriptions of the product. It’s my vendor of choice for used equipment.
Wow. Thank you for all of the great suggestions. Turns out it was the zoom ring. I’m afraid I was having a senior moment- more like a senior two weeks in this case.
This is a wonderful forum. Thanks again to all who replied.

I bought a new Tamron G2 150-600 zoom lens about six months ago and have used it on approximately two dozen photo shoots. Initially, zooming was just right-not too loose and not too tight. Just right. Lately however it has become very tight and difficult to extend or retract the lens. I checked the user manual for troubleshooting but no luck. Also I am unaware of any trauma to the lens. I'm new to zoom lenses so this may be a common problem but I am stumped. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Thank you to all who replied. Very useful suggestions. Looks like Blurb and Shutterfly are leading the pack.
Interested in doing a hardback of my photos and would appreciate suggestions for best value for quality and price.
Many thanks.

Thanks to all for your very helpful comments. Looking forward to applying them in the field.
Any suggestions for aperture sweet spots at different focal lengths for this lens?
Great topic and very helpful responses. This is a great forum.

Excellent website for birding in all of Utah. Thank you for the suggestion.
I’ll be spending next week in northern Utah visiting my son who is finishing grad school at Utah State in Logan Utah. Any suggestions for birds in flight spots within a couple of hours drive?
Thanks
