Bought my first camera went I was in the Army and on temporary duty at the Kilauea Military Camp in Hawaii Volcanos National Park on the Big Island in 1966. It was a fixed focal length Kodak Retinette which I paid $35. I still have it, but I no longer use it. I took pictures of the Kilauea volcano which was about 3/4 of a mile from the camp as well as all over the island. It was a basic camera which taught me a lot about photography since it had no built in smarts. Below is a picture and one of the volcano (adapted from an old slide) 56 years ago.

I have an SW2700. It set up easily to HDMI. On mine, in the lower right at the base of the screen and to the left of the power on button, are four "dot" symbols. Pressing the button underneath the fourth dot to the left of the power button brings up a small menu screen. Depressing the same button a second time displays the input options. Scroll to the HDMI input using the ˄ and ˅ symbols, then depress the button under the check mark. Hope this helps.

I am only, at best, an intermediate level user of Photoshop. I find it quite challenging and can usually find a tutorial on YouTube to help be understand a technique for improving a photo. For example, "Don't like the sky? Change it" see https://www.photoshopessentials.com/photo-editing/replace-sky/

I find both the taking of the photo and post to be equally interesting and challenging. Each requires different skills. It is similar in the film days of the taking of the photo and the printing skills learned in the darkroom. Post can save a problematic photo. I spend more time on post processing even though I do not post a lot of photos. I use Photoshop and have spent hundreds of hours learning how to use it and its capabilities, which are amazing. The problem I have is using a feature infrequently, such as photo or focus stacking. I generally have to relearn the technique. In addition, post allows for true color balance. The problem I see with some post processing is when viewing a photo someone has taken the question is "is it real or how much has it been modified". There are the purists and the artists. I am somewhere in the middle.

That's a good point. However, the Haida GND's are 4x6 which allows for significant adjustment that avoids the constraint that you note. I never considered the limitation you note when I selected the Haida Filters. I lucked out.

I use Haida filters and have been very pleased with their flexibility and results. The kit I bought was not cheap. It contains a 10 stop, 6 stop, a graduated 3 stop, a hard 3 stop grad, along with a CPL that can be used with the grads and associated adapter rings. Quite easy to use.

Outstanding Photo. I belong to a local astronomy society here in the East and we have an astrophotography group. Its difficult to get the clear nights and the light pollution can be a problem here, but we do get some good images. I hope that Covid has not impacted the Santa Cruz Chili operation and they are still in business - great place where my wife and I go every time we visit Tucson and Tubac (UofA grads). Haven't been there since 2019.

I upgraded to 11 and immediately my apps, and my email were slow to respond to commands, e.g scrolling was jerky and slow to respond. I didn't even try PS. I reverted to Windows 10 and all is back to normal. After upgrading to 11, I read that one has only 10 days to revert. If interested, the path to revert is: Start>Settings>Windows Update>Advanced Options>Recovery>Previous Versions of Windows. I am going to stay with 10 for a long time.

Thanks for the info. I think I will donate them. Compared to the cameras today, this item is very basic. Maybe someone might like a throwback to the old days to put on a mantle. Again, Thanks

I inherited a Minolta Maxxum 3xi Film Camera. It also has 3 lenses: Minolta 35-70 mm 1:3.5-4.5; a Quantaray 1:4-5.6 f70-210mm; and a Quantaray 1:4-5.6 f75-300mm. My question is does this camera and the lenses have any value? I have no interest in them.
