Purchased new from Adorama but I realized after a few shots that I prefer zooms not fixed lens. Fujifilm super EBC protector filter (a $70 value) installed on purchase. All original packaging, manual, warranties, shade, cloth, etc. included. Asking $350.

I have the Canon ET-74B lens hood in brand new condition. Will sell at reasonable price ($35 plus shipping) if interchangeable with ET-73B hood. Following link says it is.

I'm 84. When I was working the farm, the smartphone was an essential tool. Not only did it show me the weather radar when I needed a forecast, I used it for keeping track of irrigation zones and orders. The camera was useful for documentation. I was not tempted by social media or browsing the web. It was a utility item.

The problem isn't the phone. It's the user habits.

Right on!!!!

My experience with MPB was that they were not responsive when I tried to cancel an order made on their website a few hours earlier. They also did not respond when sending numerous emails to try and return the item within the 14-day allowed period. It was only upon receiving an email from a representative for feedback on the transaction, and explaining the dilemma, that they allowed me to return the item with no further issues even though the 14-day period had just expired. This seems to confirm a previous UHH poster's observations that this company deals mainly electronically.

In England, the term for a horses's tail that has been cut short is "docked". The American version could be "Bobbed" in which case a look at the actual lyrics would reveal the truth. I very much doubt a horse in this song would be named "Bob".

It's a sad fact that a downsized amount of product still requires about the same amount of packaging that winds up as landfill waste or pollution in our oceans.

Read on YouTube that bridge cameras not fast enough to capture wildlife action but would certanly be good to have one as a backup. Intend to rent one and check it out. Thanks for the 80D tip as well. That could be an inexpensive option.

Did see the gorillas in Rwanda although they were only one hour's climb up the mountain and that was 15 years ago. Hope the porters can give me a push!!!

Hello Billnikon, Very much enjoyed looking at your image caught at just the right moment. My most recent post was in reference to an earlier post but I evidently wasn't successful in making this clear to the UHH followers. This tour leader has one photo in a book put out by an English conservation company. I just viewed the prints in the book called "Remembering Great Apes" since I'm going to Uganda. The images are astounding and heart-wrenching and submitted by the best photographers around the world. There are other books in the series as well relating to other species. Google "Remembering Great Apes" then click on "ordering prints" to see the images. You can view other books in the series as well.

Thank you all for your insightful replies. Not quite sure what I'll do now, but won't be spending too much for photos I don't really need. Tour leader also says he cannonot make a living any more by selling his photos in this digital age so has reduced his equipment to taking photos for personal gratification and his own website requirements.

I am booked for a photography trip to Uganda in February. Traveled extensively on wildlife trips before Covid using Canon and Fuji systems. Have enough pictures and sold most equipment in intervening time except rangefinder Fuji w/ kit lens and RF100-400 lens that I'm not impressed with in conjuncton with rented Canon bodies. What to do for this trip??? (P.S. Just turned 78 so learning acumen a tad restricted. Don't have a smart phone and wouldn't be happy with Sony RX10 1V.)

Rent Canon R8 or R6 (again). Purchase cheap Oly model and lenses or OMD1iii and get back into that fun system.
Purchase Fuji XT4 or 5 and rent tele lenses for trip. (Had Fuji XT2). Consider older DSLR models?

Any suggestions welcome.
