We no longer have pets. But we have "wilds". I was fortunate to capture this racoon a few years back. The last one was just a year ago.

Great shots!!!

Great capture, how'd you get him to pose for this shot?

Thank you.
I used to spend a lot of time at the zoo photographing the animals.
It was about 105 degrees that day and she came and lay down at the window in the shade. I sat on the floor on the other side and just sat quietly and she was watching me. So I carefully placed my lens on the glass and she just lay there watching me. I felt quite a connection with her that day.

I think this one is my overall favorite:
Helicopter4b.jpg by David Casteel, on Flickr

It's the weekly helicopter landing at Cartwright Air Station, Labrador bringing fresh fruit and mail to the site. Luck was with me--the radar site appears just under the bird and the rotor blades point to the corners. The colors were vibrant, too.
I think this one is my overall favorite: br url=h... (show quote)

This is a wonderful picture

Very nice image and expression. The texture is very nice and the light/shadow play is very good for giving me a sense of depth. Well done!

Thank you. We only had a pane of glass separating us. We were only about 1 -2 feet apart

Winner for sure. The Chimp is exhibiting human qualities that speak to us immediately. It's attractive and compelling at some level of curiosity within my conscience and I feel connected to it instantly. Animals that exhibit their unspoken communication skills to us steal our hearts and give us good reason to love them in return. Always a Joy. Nice Work.

Thank you so much! I always feel it is a privilege to photograph the animals
