Is that the real color of the water? Wildlife is tough and subjective. If you were in the water shooting up this would have been a great photo.
The eagle would have been great in the left side of the photo using the driftwood more prominately. Someone already made this comment and I agree strongly.
The puffin is really good but again the water color seems strange to me.
Keep shooting and keep posting, you are in the best area to shoot wildlife, but only with a camera.

Yes the colors are real. I have not edited any of the photos in anyway. Not color, not cropping, nothing. :) Thanks for input everyone. I love to hear everyone's perspectives on them.

Holy cow I'm glad you are ok. They can be so dangerous and come out of no where. I would love to meet up with you. That would be really fun. Juneau would be different. Kind of like Cordova. Not on the road system, southeast so more rain, bigger trees, much greener. Southeast is beautiful. Anchorage......well Anchorage is Anchorage. It's your typical city. Lived there for awhile before we moved to Cordova. LOVE the Mat-Su Valley though. They have beautiful mountains and nice historic buildings. And not to far from Anchorage.

I have lived in Soldotna for 19 years. Before that it was Cordova. Wish I would have been into photography then. What a beautiful place to be and to not take advantage just makes me sick now. We do have our fair share of wildlife here. Saw a whole herd of caribou the other day and couldn't stop. Bout made me cry not being able to snap a few photos anyway. We do love it here. Our weather is much more mild than yours. We have good friends that live in Fairbanks. Actually my husband was there for a couple of years and retired from the military up there. Where are you moving to?

You know I have not edited any of my pictures in anyway, but after seeing everyones on here and how vibrant everything looks, I think I'm going to start. :) Love your picture. The clouds look like stepping stones in the sky......thanks for sharing!

Oh and I use the Canon T2i. I have a telephoto lens that I use, but I'm almost ashamed to say I don't even know what telephoto it is. I'll have to look and get back to you on that. I am so bad. I really don't know anything about my camera, I just like to point and shoot. :)

WOW, those are amazing!! I would LOVE to find a moose like that. A few years back we had a momma who dropped her twin calves right in our back yard. Of course I wasn't home when it happened but my husband was and he "tried" to get pictures. Cut off her head, cut off the feet, completely off center, not focused. I wanted to cry. You should feel good about these. Wildlife is not easy to catch. I like them! Where do you live right now?

In the first picture I purposely focused on the one flower and the bud. Would have probably been better to focus on both flowers though. And the second one I don't have a straight on shot. That flower was so small I didn't even know there were rain drops on there until I looked at it on my computer. Many times I will hold my camera on the subject without being able to look through the eye piece, and just hope for the best. :) Thanks for the feedback..........
