Thanks for the reply, I'm going by dates that a photographer has listed for a workshop up there at this time. He has had this workshop many many years and I think I have trust in that. I know nothing is guaranteed, (especially the weather).
Sorry if this has been covered before, but I'm going up in late February to shoot the northern lights.
The two strategies I've seen from research are to let the camera/lens acclimate outside and a cute device I came across was a lens wrap that had compartments for hand warmers.
Any suggestions appreciated !
I'm heading out there in three weeks. Was this taken from the overlook and what lens did you use ? Thanks Bruce
Thanks everyone !
It's a Canon AE-1 Program. I didn't realize that one of the lenses is actually a 2x converter:
Not sure if I have the right manufacturers, but:
Toyo 5 star optics, 2.8 28mm
Canon 1.8 50mm
Toyo 8.0, 500mm
Cimk0 4.5 80-200mm
Vivitar MC Converter, 2x
Canon speedlite 155A
I put in a fresh battery and it seems to operate with no issues that I can see.
Miraculously, all of the original manuals are there along with lens cases.
APPRECIATE ALL ADVICE
My sister' husband just passed away and she gave me his film camera with 5 lenses. Please give me some advice as to whether this has any value and what is the best way to achieve it. (Ebay, pawn shop, etc.)
Thanks everyone.
I would also be interested in the other 32gb cf card,

I heard this in passing and I thought WOW. Partial lyric to "Respect Yourself" by the Staples Singers 1972:
If you're walking 'round think'n that the world owes you something 'cause you're here
You goin' out the world backwards like you did when you first come here yeah
Keep talkin' bout the president, won't stop air pollution
Put your hand on your mouth when you cough, that'll help the solution.
Just a thought: no opinion on my part.
