I really like your photograph. The perspective of the whole image seems to have even arranged the sky to cooperate for a fabulous image. Congrats.
Paul. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. I appreciate it. Peace. R
Thanks Paul for the clarification.
So I understand that you adjust the light sensitivity of the film by adjusting the ISO . That would mean that if I where to use old B&W film rated at 400 ASA I might set the ASA setting on my light meter (yes, I still use one of those) at a step lower to perhaps 200 ASA to compensate for the decreased light sensitivity of the older film and therefore get better exposures. I am assuming that there would be no compensation for fresh film. Have I got my understanding correct? Thanks again, Paul
I am confused, or more, likely uninformed about the use of ISO in film photography. I thought ISO was only for digital cameras. I can only select the film speed which is 400 ASA for my Ilford HP5 film. as well as shutter speed and aperture setting for my Hassy camera. what am I missing ?....Thanks for any enlightenment...Peace Richard
What are the differences between the B&W films you are using. (Ilford hp5 vs Kodak Tmax ). I am trying to learn and have only been using Ilford hp5 and have no experience with other B&W film. Thanks. And by the way I like all your images and your contributions to this forum. Peace. Richard
Really like your photo. I’m just beginning to photograph barns in NH and Maine. Great subjects with stories to tell. Nice work.
WOW. That is an inspiring photo. Great job. I’m a medium format film B&W develop my own film type of recreational photographer and your image makes me want to get out there and practice some more and more. Thanks. Richard
WOW. That shot really inspires me. Love the composition and lake smoke and reflections of cloud. Peace. Richard
Yeh, your right. It is beautiful to me and I’m not an atheist.
Love the feeling of this shot. Great range of tones and contrast. You must be a clone of Ansel Adams. Did you use a red filter on this shot.
Never thought of that. I’ll try that. Thanks. Richard.
Thanks Ed. I will check them out right away. Peace. Richard
