Wednesday was a gray, frigid day - which was forgotten once I spotted this beautiful golden eagle - only the third time I've seen one!

Swan and goose photo'd with Canon T3i, Sigma 18-250 mm. The others with Canon SX50, HQ burst mode.

Thanks for viewing!

Very nice!

Every camera has a learning curve. No matter how many pictures you've taken in the past, when you've recently acquired a new camera it's important to try new settings. New technology produces different results than from cameras a generation older. Without taking the time to try them you'll never discover how much has changed from your previous 'wonder box.'
The following six are from that test session.

Great shots, I really like the branches they are on, much more interesting than what we have around!

This is the last in my series. I want to thank all of you who have followed me through this whole process. It has been the most comprehensive postings I've ever done on UHH and I was amazed at how many stayed with me. Thank you again!

Very nice, I like them a lot.

This unique zoo has several White Tigers and some were hybrids. The Tigers were about 40 to 50 feet in distance and I was able sometimes to shoot over the fence.

All are great, the second one has a look my little kitty gives me sometimes!?!

Never had a snowmobile, but I've carried a camera bag on a 10 speed bike through the snow to take pictures (back when I was younger and less wise).

Snowmobile is great to get you in places to take photos!

So much fun to play and manipulate a boring shot!

All the birds you see in these photographs are of the wild variety. I do not photograph captive birds. There is nothing wrong with doing that, it's just that I don't do it. I've included this since I was PM'd concerning that matter.

The vignette really works on these, beautiful.

Just came back from Arizona and visited this unique park which is full of wild animals from Africa and other countries.

I used my 600mm setting with my Tamron 150-600mm lens at a distance of about 60 feet. The Tiger was on the roof of a shelter so it was high enough to get a shot over the fence.

Another great photo! Maybe he thinks you now look good for desert!

In an email from B&H on Thanksgiving morning, I noticed that my new Sigma lens was going to be $50 less on Black Friday than what I paid on 11/6. Contacted B&H; they credited my account within a couple of days - sweet!

Canon T3i, Sigma 18-250 mm lens, shot in raw.

Thanks for viewing!

#1 - As often happens in winter, Yakima was under heavy, dark clouds in the early a.m. I could see a clearer sky to the south, so off I drove - and was rewarded with this yummy light upon arrival.

Photolady, just keep on doing what you are doing!!! Your bird pictures are stunning. You probably don't really want snow anyway.

Thanks for sharing.

I don't really but the husband really wants to get the snowmobiles out!
