Mainly what I was referring to was when what you want or need to do involved working with layers. I use Lightroom myself and I like working with it. When I first checked it out the review i read referred to it as a front end to Photoshop. In the article the writer said he found he used Lightroom most of the time, and found he had to use Photoshop primarily for more complicated edits.

From what I am reading the cast is probably a combination of light from the canopy and the white balance being off too. I didn't spend much time with it but I adjusted the levels to increase the tonality some, then desaturated the whites, then adjusted brightness some. I used Photoshop but just about any reasonably decent editor will work just as well.

You can check out Serif PhotoPlus X6. I believe they have a MAC version. They have a free version you can try to see how well you like it. It has most Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro features, and like Paint Shop Pro, it is much less expensive than Photoshop. I read here some suggestions for Lightroom, and I agree it is a very good product but you need another full featured editor to handle the things Lightroom won't do.

I use SanDisk SDHC (16GB) in all of my cameras that I use regularly. I have never experienced any problem at all with them, and for the price I think they are a great choice. (I do shoot RAw as well as JPG).
