Hiked to the top of Mt Lowe in the San Gabriel s just above Pasadena, CA. Upon reaching the top, fully intending to set up tripod, compose panorama shot, etc.
Found another hiker with friend, smoking a cig and making coffee with a camp stove, blathering on about his issues with medications.
Sigh. I cannot abide cigarette smoke, particularly at the top of a beautiful peak. Turned and left the dolt, climbed up Mt Disappointment instead.

I am currently saving over $300 per month on a Platinum plan in California, seeing my same doctor with actually better benefits than the older expensive plan thanks to Obama Care. I could have saved substantially more, but wanted the higher level of benefits and copays.

Young Men and Women who participate in college athletics make millions for their respective schools and get literally nothing in return. A scholarship for as long as they play, once injured and out, they are on their own. Physical injuries that will haunt them for life without any insurance coverage. Why should a coach make $5 mil per year when his star athletes make nothing?
