These are 2 of my cats. I have 5 plus 4 dogs and many pictures of all. I just took these today and I like how they came out. They were so dark I decided to darken the background even further and add a little contrast to them.

Very Cool, I like the second picture.
I had a "ball" of bee's land on our apple tree one year. I was freaking :shock: out about what to do it was a weekend so there was no one available to get rid of them. I called around to the pest control and they told me it's a new queen looking for a new place for a hive and she was resting. The other bee's will pile on top of her for protection while they rest. They stayed for about 4 days and then vanished. It was very interesting. I will have to dig up those pictures later when I get home and post them.

Hello,
I'm Sue from Tehachapi, CA and I would like to introduce myself. I just joined this site yesterday and I would love to learn more about photography. I currently have a little Sony DSC-W350 Cyber-shot which is nice for snapshots, but I would like to upgrade to a better camera which gives me the option of changing lenses. I have always had an interest and have taken many pictures over the years, most of which are on my computer.
I am posting a few I have taken and welcome any suggestions. The one of the old barn I entered in a photo-contest here in town and I took 2nd place. I have used Photoshop in the past to tweek the colors or crop but for the most part the pictures are straight out of my camera.
My goal is to learn about composition and what makes a good photo great. Not to rely on Photoshop or other programs for more than a minor touch up. I like taking pictures of nature, landscapes, and my pets. Im not into it for money just for fun and I look forward to learning a lot from many different sources.

I don't know what it is and it's very pretty, but I wouldn't want to have it flying around me. I can only handle wasps in photo's they scare me to death in the real world.
