Surprised to hear that about SPTS here in Miami!...i've been using them for many years and have no complaints.

I'm going out on a limb here and, due to all.your confusing answers, I recommend P, or as fully auto as possible!
Good luck!
And enjoy!
Re Google Photos....isn't the editing feature on the recipient's end only? Also, you are limited with free space. I got stuck the other night and switched to Dropbox...with a monthly charge!
I think you should get out of P and the pluses for saturaration and sharpness
Use manual and TTL if available, and the Gary Fong
I think that what you're doing is admirable
Good luck!
Beautiful!!!
Thank You....
A Mom
Precious and beautiful!!!!
Love!!!
The great NG photographer, Joel Sartore, has posted many articles and videos describing his many experiences. One of the most important requirements of his Editor is that he photographs at prime times for the best light....early morning and afternoon's 'golden hour'.
I strongly recommend reading or watching his work....He is a born teacher....like so many of you!
Thank you, ChgCanon!
I'll give it a try!
I was hoping you would reply....You are so helpful and wise!
I really appreciate all the good advice here....I'm totally addicted!
Seems that I am dealing with this dilemma 'as we speak'! I am not a technical whiz, and I've been struggling with PSE18 for the past 4 months. I just learned that I should use PSD to file while editing so as not to lose quality (pixels?). I'm doing this while editing a recent shoot of my friend's cats. (Got some great shots!) The PSD size was huge..30 and 40MB's!...3 and 4 times more that the original JPEG's! I exported my first album from PS and, of course, had to convert to JPEG. I filed in 'my pictures' in Windows 10 Documents, and then uploaded to my Google Photos and made a Google album, which I am going to send in a link to my friend. The MB jpeg size (and quality) seems to be intact. (though in 'info' displays 2 different MB's....????)
I print directly from PS to my Epson 830 printer with good results.
I guess I want to know if I'm on the right track! Seems there must be an easier way!
I love all your advice.....but the pixel/schmitzels are driving me crazy!
AMAZING!!! And so informative! Thank you!!!
There is very little need for post processing if you set the fstop for your flash distance, then set your shutter for the appropriate outside ambient. You may have to play with the iso and the settings and distance to get it right, but as a South Florida (with great water views, Realtor), I can vouch for it!
I'm still new to Photoshop Elements and just realized (after re-editing most of my jpgs) that you should save to psd, unless you're going to email your images. After having used Picassa (happily) for several years, I don't understand or like the PS filing system! Am I missing something? Why does every image that you edit, have to go into your computer's file....over and over....and......
