I really love your surf pics. And the bird is a plus!
When I went to Win10, my old catalog would never "load" into LR. After days and days of trying, I simply started a new one. None of my previous work is now available except on my old computer. íQué lástima!
I shot at the racetrack for decades and at horse shows long before that. I've actually only shot polo once, but got good enough results that Ralph Lauren bought all my pictures. Doesn't make me an export, I admit. If I were you, I'd set my camera on shutter speed preferred, probably at 1000. I shot film, so that put me at a designated ISO and allowed the f-stop to be the variable. In bright sun, that shouldn't be a problem. You need enough DOF to allow all of the horse to be in focus, but leave the unsightly background out of focus.
The biggest problem I had at polo was being where the action was. It seemed no matter where I was, the action was at the other end. I was shooting with a 28-300, so I could still get close. Take note of where the really bad backgrounds are and try to avoid shooting there. But, if you fill your frame with the horse activity, the background can be mitigated a bit. Make sure you get the entire horse in the frame unless you're doing a closeup of the hands, or face or something like that. Freezing the horse is always best, IMHO. Be careful about sun position, as that will change during the afternoon (of course).
Extraordinarily beautiful.
I love these peaceful, country scenes. Really nice.
It's very bright and cheerful. I like the fact that you caught him "singing."
Finding the cabin itself has to be secondary to seeing all the beautiful countryside you'll pass through on the way!
$1200? That's A LOT of money!!!!! That box must have gold in it!

Very nice group, thanks!!
Thank you, Dick. And you're welcome.
This is a hard choice! And the very first two people who voted proved it. I'd really like to vote twice. Do I go for reality or lovely saturation? OK, I'm over thinking this!
