This is one of my preserved Green Lacewing. They are quite delicate and when preserved in alcohol it tends to bleach out their color so this one is a bit pale in places although it still gives an idea of its features. The interesting thing about them is their larvae.

The larvae, sometimes called aphid lions, which are insatiable predators of other insects, especially aphids. A lacewing larva grasps the aphid with its grooved, caliper-shaped jaws, often lifts it up in the air, then drinks the fluids in the aphid’s body (a horrible way to go). A single lacewing larva can eat an aphid a minute, for hours, and not slow down.

Adult lacewings of some species are predatory, too; others eat pollen from flowers or honeydew, the sweet, processed plant sap that is excreted by aphids. They are difficult to find however they are attracted to lights at night which is where I find mine.

Megapixel Count now 15 compared previous 8.
Takes nice shots! Many lower end digital cameras are at 15 megapixels.
Like Polaroid Waterproof, compact Sony, Nikon, Kodak's.

1. Popcorn cement on building post.
2. Very close up shot of red brick texture.

No, the photo is nothing special, just a headshot taken with ambient light. The thing is I shot it with a cheap, Viltrox (Chinese) lens. It does autofocus quickly, but the aperture ring is stepless, and at least it is marked. The download probably shows the lens to its best advantage. Anyway, Viltrox gets a thumbs up from me for this lens (56mm) and their Fuji compatible flashes.

Great reading from torah image.

Some images I got of a bumblebee on our sunflowers.
The black on this one was really black!
I saw a lot of bumblebees on the front of the sunflowers, but this one was busy getting something off the back of the flowers with it's tongue.
Enjoy and thanks for looking.

It's actually not unusual for people who consider themselves artists, and this can include photographers, to spend a good part of their waking time in the pursuit of art. Obviously, as with all things, if the pursuit starts to actually interfere with other things in your life then you need to take a look at it. My late husband, a paint artist, spent everyday of his life in his art studio creating artwork, there is no difference with a photographer spending his or her days doing the same.

Hope you have a great collection of his work?
