After thinking about your explanation of the logic/motives behind removing statues and renaming things, do you have any concerns about what happened to Native Americans? In the spirit of being consistent with actions against Confederate history, why not remove everything related to the US politicians and military personnel who led and/or participated in the genocide of the indigenous people of this continent? And what about the Buffalo Soldiers who were among the most efficient in prosecuting that genocide, should there be statues and memorials honoring them?

I abhor the thought of s***ery and for those who fought for the Confederacy for the sole purpose of continuing the practice of s***ery I would count as war criminals. But s***ery was not the only issue. There was also the issue of states rights and how the industrial North was not in step with the agrarian South. Anyone who thinks the South was 100% wrong needs to read the articles of confederation. There are some excellent points made in the document which would improve relations between the government in Washington and the states. The Federal Government has over the last 100 years taken more and more power from the states and will at times put them in a choke hold when a state takes an opposing stand on an issue. It will withhold funding for projects just to get its way. Wasn't it Jefferson that endorsed armed resistance when the government becomes so powerful it infringes on individual freedoms? Today there are no leaders that could be considered lions. We as a nation have become sheep and our personal freedoms are slowly being eroded. While I don't endorse armed resistance, I think we could make changes by looking more closely at who we are electing. My biggest complaint is professional politicians. This country was not set up to create a business of permanent jobs in government. If we want real change in this country we first need to implement term limits. When politicians are more interested in the survival of their careers than doing the right thing for their constituents, then they are as much t*****rs as the Confederate Leaders were.

You seem to be unable to conceive that our own mass shootings are considered "domestic terrorism". Like I said your statement covered any other country on the planet. A mass shooting is a mass shooting. I know I didn't miss the part where you differentiated between "mass shootings". That was your statement not mine. If you wanted to not include all mass shootings you should have stated exactly what you were talking about. Your statement as stated by you was not factually correct. Don't really see how I can make that much simpler.
