I'll be the dissenter her NJ....I am wishing to see the bottom of the fence maybe even with a bit less sky...Good concept. Some things I don't care for..the whole image seems oversaturated and has a yellow/greenish tint to it, might just be my monitor...things I might consider, decrease the saturation on the grasses, it might make the umbrellas feel stronger....clone out the person on the right...hope this gives you more thoughts....

I was waiting for Erich to get the voting going as I wanted no confusion, this image is not for voting...I been busy and apologize for not getting back to comment here...everyone of you has made me see things about this image I otherwise would not have thought about which inspired me to work on my own version, and for that I thank all of you....had it not been for your visions this image would have stayed the blah original and just glanced over never being brought to life.....your ideas have made this image one I am now glad to have taken and spent some time on...as always downloaded or open in new tab for proper viewing...Thanks again and am looking forward to see who wins....

You are rapidly getting enough of these wonderful shots to have a one man show of beach scenes. They are all enjoyable.
Erich
Thank you for taking time to comment Erich...

Too bad the umbrella is right across the eye, but what you get is what you get on the street sometimes.....an interesting interaction for sure..

A classic Frank image! Beautiful composition and pp - and that nipper looks very focussed on her objective! Lovely shot Frank.

It is a great shot that is well composed with the subject just off-center enough to make it interesting. While it makes a very nice BW image, I often wonder what the colors were. If her bathing suit, or her "board", had some bright colors they would might have been a perfect compliment for the beach, ocean, and sky.

Jerry
Thank you Jerry for comment and your thoughts...good to see you posting more here...

Edit: Decided to add this since you were wanting some color.....please open in a new tab or download as I'm not sure what I have done but UHH has the color messed up.....

I think you've accomplished your goal, they seem to have a soft painterly look to me....

I love it. Well composed, perfect moment, she and her board are the leading line and the subject. Great conversion. Wonderful picture.
Thank you minniev...was quite comical watching her as she hadn't been walking long....

Start them young ..... always a good idea. I grew up on lakes, but fell in love with the ocean when I joined the Navy. Avid scuba diver and sailor, but never quite mastered the surf board ....... but I was Hell on a boogie board.

Wonderful composition ..... clear foreground, fascinating main subject and focus just trailing off over the horizon - covers all the focal points. But the body language of the youngster is what caught my eye.
Good to learn Bob, we love the ocean also and get together every year for a bit of beach time, thank you for the compliments..

I'd say yes Erich, with "Fisheye Fender" being my favorite....maybe clone out the pink lady at the end....

Was interesting getting your opinion. I was thinking the reflections were adding to the shot. I could clone out the soft box reflection in the glass but not so much in the bottle.
Thanks for stopping by Frank
The bottle reflection is distorted enough and looks OK...the glass on the other hand just draws my eye straight to it and becomes a distraction from the elements....I hope this helps Pops, as I said what do I know.....

Nicely done Pops...I know nothing about product shots but have always maintained a preference for not being able to distinguish the lights or their set ups in any reflections, so for me the soft box light becomes the subject...just my personal opinion mind you....
