If by parallel 8ths you mean octaves, that was one of the first points he made.
My point is that he begins by discussing intervals based on whole number ratios. Modern chromatism is based on 12 root of two which means modern tempered notes are all out of tune, except for the octave. Did you tune his piano?

He starts with perfect intervals and makes a one line reference to tempered tuning, does not explain the pythagorean comma. Modern chromatism only works due to compromise. Is that the point you wanted to make?

I suspect that these reports are largely deflection from the real issue which is c*****e c****e. The arson reports seem to be predominately reported in the Murdoch press and other concervative media. Fires on this scale have never been seen before in Australia. C*****e c****e is real and frightening.
