Pretty sure it's a Great Blue Heron. Wings and color say it is, but can't see the head, neck or legs to be sure. Oh yeah, it sure is. Just enlarged it in Picasa and can see more clearly. Beautiful birds. Here is one I caught in the canal near my house.
Me too. If I was an Indian, I'd say they are my totem. Hard to sneak up on and shoot...very skittish.
My brother and sister and I can still recite many lines from that album. What a genius.

Tell me you've got "Another day Another World."
Ok...we give up. The answer is...
"Money is the root of all evil!!"
Actually, it's "The love of money is the root of all evil."

Big difference.
For a rainy day, if you like history, "The Cabinet War Rooms" are fascinating. You can see Churchill's bedroom, and many rooms, just as they were when the war ended. "Speaker's Corner" in Hyde Park on Sundays is an entertaining place and great photo op. It's hard to tell the loonies from the geniuses. If you're adventerous, you can trek up to the boyhood home of Ray and Dave Davies in Muswell Hill and have a pint across the street at the Clisswold Arms where they played their first gig. Well, maybe this is one to pass unless you know who the brothers are and appreciate their music. Listen to RD's "Storyteller," and you can decide if it's your cuppa tea.
Thanks, evrybody. I was told jpegs would be fine, but I do have some RAW files I'll bring along.
I'm taking a one day workshop on Lightroom this Sunday and am trying to figure out what kind of image files to take with me to work on. My thought was to bring shots that I really wished were better with exposure problems. Any thoughts on this?
Aced it! Some of these I hadn't thought of for years. I quote #3 all the time...as youngins today would say, "Truth."
Can Lightroom or Elements do more post production treatment on older jpegs than Picasa? Is either one better for working with RAW files? Trying to decide which direction to go from Picasa.
Your reaction tempered with such constraint is inspirational. Divine appointment it in my eyes. Thank you.
