Hope your experience with the D7000 version was better than mine with the D5100. The author references subjects which will appear in Chapters 10 and 11, but, lo, no 10 or 11. The publisher said that these were omitted to save printing costs, but are available on line. Not a big negative, but goes to correct editing of text. Otherwise, very satisfied with info presented.
One of the disappointments in the step up from a Nikon D5000 to a D5100 is the loss of the horiz/vert guidelines.
The only thing I've bought at that Hobby Center are HO RR items, years ago, and wasn't pleased by their attitude then. Guess they haven't changed. They seem to feel that they're the biggest and only one around so you'd better buy from them.

Can anyone advise me on the positive or negative use of Nikon Teleconverters ? I am using a Nikon D5000 / D7000 camera to photograph Auto Races. Will I notice a downgrade on my overall picture focus quality if I choose to add a TC-17E II ( 1.7 X ) Teleconverter to a 300 mm Lens that I am currently using ?
I don't want to spend that extra money if I won't be happy with the results.
A word of caution: Before anyone buys, remember that the Nikon converters only work on specific long lenses. Check the specs before buying. I didn't and now have one for resale. (TC-17EII)
Dirty Dave, an amusing , but sad rendition of our society today. However, until you learn to write and spell, please do not criticize others for their lack of understanding. It was difficult to wade through your comment because of punctuation, grammar and spelling errors. Sort of like looking at an out of focus picture.
While on this non-photo thread, I see lots of this type of sloppiness throughout UHH posts. We're all proud of our photo presentations, let's be proud of our verbal ones. They, too, present a picture of us.
A term used by those who won't allow Christ in Christmas. Must be an atheist term.
