Thank you so much, I will go to the default program and make the change.. (And you are SO right about us novice computer dudes!)
While I understand what you are saying, at times I have no choice as to what program the computer uses. EG: I downloaded the suggested photo software, and when I tried to e-mail a photo off of the computer, it WENT to the Microsoft e-mail site..
And if I want to upload to this site, will it direct me to do so from the site that the photos are stored at?
(Am I SENDING from the other site, or UPLOADING from this site?)
I think you're alright Guessman, (no matter WHAT others think!) haha..
You mentioned something that is of great interest to me at this point in my life... (Real estate.)
If you think you could be so kind as to answer some questions regarding this subject, can you please contact me at my e-mail address? billy17655@yahoo.com
(As my wife is saying, I'm at "a fork in the road" in my life...)
To all of you that have been kind enough to answer the question I posed, thank you very much..
I have been plugging away with trying to work with what I have so far. And I have another question...
I managed to download, edit (mainly cropping, and some saturation issues) and produce a photo of a friends cat.
However I previously I used my laptop at work (before it closed)and the IT person there set up "Microsoft Exchange" for our e-mails. Unfortunately it's still in my computer, and for some reason, at certain times, when I try to e-mail something, it goes there, so I get a prompt that "Microsoft exchange is unable to send, and do I want to work offline or cancel." Can someone tell me how to find the program and delete it from my computer, so that the e-mails go to my yahoo e-mail? And also how to send an e-mail to this forum? (As I would like to share some of the success that I was able to achieve due to all who took their time to offer me help.)
Hello gessman;
I can dig where you are coming from, even if it's coming across a bit hard..
Can I ask your profession?
Thanks to everyone who took time to answer..
I have a slew of info..
Hmm.. I only have 2 discs, so MAYBE I'm missing the tutorial one! Thanks
Hello;
Thanks to lorvey and red iris, it is true that I'm computer dumb and need lots of help in that area..
Questions:
Should I be using (and learning) Windows?
I am 58 years old and my company is closing. I majored in art at The University of Colorado YEARS ago, and now I'm planning on going back to school and study art/photography. I have been looking through the courses that I would be taking and some are geared to using computers/digital cameras and editing. Would that be enough to help, or should I be looking at learning programs (like Windows 7) on the side...?
Oh yes..
The "family islands" (as we call them) are the ONLY places to go if you want a REAL island experience.. Nassau (where I live) is MUCH too populated and (in some places) nasty.
The family islands are beautiful, laid back, and the food (especially the sea food,) is to DIE for!
Abaco is a nice island, and if you REALLY want a "island experience" San Salvador is amazing.. (But there is also Exuma, Andros, etc..) and MANY small keys..
Thanks for the tip about downloading the complete manual. I notice the sea in back of your photo, where is that? (Looks like my home country, The Bahamas..)
To make sure I understand...
You mean after taking photos (and having Picasa loaded in my computer)
take out the card from the camera and put it in the computer and the photos download?
Can I edit the photos and e-mail from Picasa as well?
Another interesting tip I think..
How do I go about using the Windows program to download, edit and send my photos from 70D camera?
