Very nice set! I like the Whistler area because unlike the Rocky Mountains, you can go up the mountains and still breathe!
I also like the stone bridge. The snow makes it very serene.
Thirty + years ago high up in the Andes I was offered some "chichi" by some very old Inca ladies on a Christmas Eve. They laughed when I agreed and drank some of this ancient traditional drink, the corn meal clinging to my mustache.
Whenever and wherever there were humans they learned to ferment things. The Inca did not have much to ferment, so they learned early on to ferment corn - but corn is mostly starch and has to be converted to sugar, and so amylase is needed to break down the starch. Amylase is found in saliva - and yes, chichi is made by chewing corn and spitting it into a bucket, after which it can ferment into a beer-like drink.
Enough alcohol to kill germs? I hope so.....
I never saw them do that! How odd. Must have been really pooped!
Regis - fantastic photos as usual! They are so sharp. If your eagles are leaving the area then I am looking forward to seeing other subjects from you! I am sure we are all looking forward to seeing what else you will be offering us with this great camera in your very capable hands!
OR..... do what I do - I take my old P&S camera - still capable of getting nice photos - and keep it in a zip-lock bag until I want to shoot something. Cheap, easy, and I don't have to worry about my more expensive camera - I also don't have to deal with a larger camera while I paddle!
Nice portrait!
My cat is twelve pounds of bipolar!

Thank y'all for the kind comments on this pink chicken...
Wonder if they "TASTE like chickin"... :)
It's a neat photo of the spoonbill, but I have mixed feelings about the black background. It makes me immediately wonder if it is stuffed in a museum somewhere...
Great job as always, Brent. Really dramatic images.

Can't say as I blame him! What a neat thing to witness.
Beautiful shots. Nothing like the chickadees keeping busy at the feeder in the wintertime. Such pleasant little birds! I agree that they are endearing.
Really nice photo! Keep us posted on his family life!
Very nice set. What a beautiful spot!
I'm going to take a stand here.... and suggest that if people are going to just post a link to something rather than a photo or a discussion of something photographic that you PLEASE tell us what is so special about this link that we should spend/waste our time looking at it.
