I was able to get my hands on an original Fender Palomino 1969 acoustic guitar today! A good friend of mine's father had it and he passed away a few yrs ago. She is starting to get ride of some of his stuff and offered this one to me....she would only take $100 for it even though I know it's worth more than that.

Glad everyone enjoyed my adventure! It was on the cold side but with very little wind and that sunshine...it sure did make for a fun day.

amazing landscapes. I see we share a fondness for the frothy wakes of an outboard in clean water. It may not be the most dramatic of your beautiful set, but it is the one that makes me want to be right there on the boat!

I do love the frothy wakes! Glad you enjoyed these.

The sun was shining and the wind was light....so we decided to take the boat out on Flathead Lake and do some fishing! Started out cold...around 20 but warmed up to about 35...was a beautiful day.

Randy caught 2 lake trout and I had one on but never got it to the boat...so not a great day for catching but a beautiful day to be out.

Used the Nikkor 200-500 with the 1.4 teleconverter on this shot....so surprised it turned out this good with being in a rocky boat!

Beautiful view of the Rocky Mountains from the lake

Can't cut across the lake here....to much ice

The people that we went with into the Spanish Peaks were the Clark family out of Cameron. We started the trip at the trailhead on Jack Creek and rode up and over the range and down into the Upper Falls Creek area. From there we rode as far south as the Spanish Lakes and north almost to the Cherry Creek drainage area. For a 10-year it was a unbelievable experience. Fishing was as easy as tossing out anything with a hook with an egg on it. 14 years later my brother came back to Bozeman so we could backpack into the same area from the trailhead off Cherry Creek. We had a wonderful experience of watching a sow grizzly and her two cubs from across a meadow maybe 100 yards wide. What beautiful animals. She knew we were there and correctly sensed that we were not a threat but hurried her cubs up and over the hill in no time at all. My brother wanted to follow so he could take some photos and I told him "no, that would not be a good idea". At that elevation it would have taken an hour to get to the top of the hill and she was doing what she could to protect her cubs. It were experiences like this that I pledged to live long enough to retire in Montana. I'll deal with the crowds as long as I can enjoy the many splendors this state has to offer.
The people that we went with into the Spanish Peak... (show quote)

We moved here back in the early 90's and retired a few yrs ago.....it's AWESOME!!

Great shots and great processing, Cindy! I could certainly not do the processing any better, and probably would not get yet to the point where you are at! - Well done!
