But the Sony a6000 does not have in camera stabilization.

I haven't done this in a long time, it is much fun to do, you just need a fast lens like a 50mm some where around 1.7 to 1.8 is fine (cheap)
Most of these were shot with a Minolta Rokkor 50mm manual focus lens with a extension tube (also cheap) If you don't already have a 50mm prime lens please get you one, most are sharp and awesome to shoot and one can learn a lot from shooting them.
