North American and International camcorders use a different spec. International is P.A.L. and US spec is called something else. The issue may be related to that. And this difference is why it is important to avoid most grey market camcorders.

The US uses NTSC.

Never know just what you will see at a junk yard! Some really good shots there Mike.

Beauties! Looks like you were nice & close judging by the detail in the photos, yet great depth of field. Something I struggle with when using the macro lens.

I was within about 12 inches of most of them, but was using f/11 for the aperture which helps with the Depth of Field.

I am glad that you enjoyed the images.

The 18-135 will fill virtually all of the focal lengths you will need that the 150-600 does not and is a pretty good lens. You have one other choice that will seem odd at first glance, but is an inexpensive stop gap measure. If you are intending to shoot closeups of flowers rather than landscape type photos the 150-600 is actually a decent macro lens when coupled with extension tubes. It is a little heavy for macro, but gives you an excellent working distance and after market extension tubes are inexpensive.

Heck one can stand back 10 feet and get darn good closeup with that lens.

I have never even tried using extensions tubes with it. Hope you don't mind having an 3.8 pound bazooka dangling on extensions tubs.
