Are any of you, at UHH, fans of the TV show, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, a comedian in NYC.
To celebrate the last season,(5th) there was a huge promotion in NYC: on 5th Ave; they were giving (to everyone) pink and white cookies, taxis and Ubers were wrapped in pink plastic just driving around, SAKS windows displayed fashions of the TV show, antique cars were displayed, there was a performance of dancers in front of SAKS FIFTH AVE.
Here are a few shots I took. I tried to upload a very funny video of the dance routine but UHH said the video file is above their 25mb file restrictions.

depends on the size which YOU choose, anywhere from 4"x4" up to 22"x22". I went to the site and did a few screen captures, but here on UHH in a response one can not add a photo(screencapture) to illustrate.
Also depends on how desirable the image is.

No, I'm. just starting also. My son recommended it to me to sell photos sitting quietly in my hard drive doing nothing
He suggested that 550,000 people see this site daily around the world. Sell photos for $10-$25. dollars but possible by 10,000 times. Its not for people who want to rent your photo thru a stock agency for $1000 or $10,000.
I'm exploring it !

Has anyone seen this Facebook website? They have daily contests with fast responses. Mon & Tues; post an artistic photo...see what people think ! Weds & Thurs; an indoor photo, Fridays some; window pictures, and on the weekend its either free posting of any B/W photo or a specially chosen theme by an administrator.

Attached is a screen capture of the website.
also attached a screen capture of one of my Paris LaDefance area picture. This was a weekend B/W theme; "Human Element".

You do realize, Lof L, the banking regulations which required a bank maintain a certain liquidity, to prevent a situation like the resent one, was rescinded during the administration of POTUS #45?

Can't understand why Biden isn't making a 'special' effort to undo Trumps deregulations like terminating the P******c Response team, etc..... !

I was looking out at the cold and cloudy scene out my old wavy glass windows thinking of the original owner of the house from 1895.
Then started thinking about cameras then and now.
I have not had a lot of cameras but as I was thinking the Brownie Hawkeye Flash Model has really the most memories of actually using. Got it from an older sister around 1959/60. I took photos of friends, ranch animals, pets, vacations etc. for several years.
I still remember lining friends up for a photo or other times using it.
Simple camera and simpler times but the memories still make me smile.
I had the middle camera shown, Still have it but too lazy to go take a photo right now.
Please relate your memory and feel free to post a photo of the camera here.
Smile.

I have that camera sitting next to me right now ! (actually I have two, both with a flash, but only one with a leather case).

I’m curious about what focal length and aperture settings you would use at car shows that would be suitable for blurring out distracting backgrounds. Most of the car show shots I see are pin sharp to infinity and all that clutter distracts from the subject. A wide open aperture would be good for starters but then there’s focal length and crowd control to take into consideration.

My suggestion is to come early just before the cars show up for the show. As each one shows you can shoot with the best backgrounds.
Later switch to a long tele, 200-300mm plus wide open f-stop and do selective elements of the cars design.
