Just returned from a short 5-day cruise. (The week before Nicole) As I was unpacking, the Customs Inspector came to visit. If the Inspector was allowed to remain, the inspection was PASSED. The cat is Rufus, my daughter's Ragdoll. The photo was taken with a Panasonic point and shoot: DMC-FH25.
Beautiful cat shown in a great photo.

The Lowcountry of SC has been well covered in the recommendations. It is the area of my home and highly recommended for photography. However, the western part of SC is worth visiting. In particular, the many State Parks along SC Highway 11 known as Cherokee Foothills Scenic Highway. These include Caesars Head State Park and Table Rock State Park. Search South Carolina State Parks for a complete list and descriptions. Also consider Whitewater Falls on the SC-NC border and Stumphouse (Mountain) Tunnel in Oconee County. Grew up in NC but came here in 1959 to attend USC and stayed. Hope you will share a few of your photos.

These two photos are not meant to be outstanding. To me, they are just interesting. As I walked onto the back porch, the squirrel jumped from the birdbath to the fence post. Knowing the squirrel would be gone before I could get off the porch, two photos were taken through the porch screen. The two photos have been slightly cropped. As always, any comments are welcomed.
Took these photos on my patio this afternoon. The two have been cropped 25%; what remains is 75% of the original. There has been slight modification of exposure, saturation and sharpness. They were shot with the Canon RP with the RF 100-400mm lens and handheld. Any comments are welcome.
It is easy to understand why you still find it pleasing.

The two photos are excellent, each in its own right. It is the type of photo shoot I hunt on the back roads of South Carolina. Thanks for sharing.

My RF 85mm lens arrived last week. As it was being studied mounted on my Canon RP as I sat on the back porch, my cat Lilly Belle wandered onto the porch and posed in an evening sunbeam. With no time to clean her eyes, she allowed me two photos before she took off. In my opinion the attached is the best photo ever taken of Lilly Belle.
The Road photo and the Barn photo are outstanding.
