Double download is fantastic. But it doesn't look air born to me. Aircraft are not permitted to go below the rim. There are numerous viewpoints on the south rim where this could have been taken.

When we went over the rim we couldn't have been more than 50' of altitude. We flew at that altitude for the mile or two it took to get to the rim. The shadow on the ground looked like it came from the help but I couldn't be sure. Either way I liked the shot and I was surprised I missed it on my two previous looks.

Very nice. You are correct about the download.

I've had a lot of posts but never saw this much of a difference. Glad I did the review.

Gorgeous shot! I hope that you have a good Memorial Day.

Thanks for viewing. I had a quiet Memorial Day but I did share the evening with a friend. First time in 3 months I spent any time at someone else's place. Social distanced through.

I went from oh to wow with one mouse click. Download is fine, DDL is better.

I don't know what DDL is? Can you explain?

I agree, the download is terrific. Almost a shame, though, to have caught the shrubs on the edge of the rim. The view from above certainly does capture the magnitude of the canyon.

I did a version without the shrubs but it eliminated too much of the foreground. I wanted to keep the river in the right position.

Very nice in download.

Thanks. I was a little surprised on how poorly the original looked without the download.

In reviewing my photo library, I found an image taken from the south rim of the Grand Canyon that I had not processed before. Late afternoon light and I am not sure but it may have been taken from my helicopter tour. I cloned out what I thought was the shadow of the copter in the lower right corner.

Definitely has to be viewed in "Download" as I don't even recognize the picture without it.

Really nice photo, katu. Composition, detail and dof are great.

When you take hundreds of photos your odds get a lot better to catch a good one.

And I also like the manipulation of the image. Good work.

Yes, I did some work on the image but I got lucky with an interesting balance of colors and I had the patience to let that boat come out from the shadow under the bridge.

Downtown Chicago is really cool. I was a college intern there in 1961 & 1962. I used to hit a lot of the bars on the near northside back in the day.

Glad you liked it. Just realized this is one of my better cityscape images.
