Everyday regulars at this time of year at our bird feedersare Black-capped Chickadees, American Tree Sparrows and American Goldfinch.
Also every day I take a drive every morning hoping to see some wildlife or ducks. This morning I found 12 deer feeding in a field , however I didn't see any ducks. |One of the pleasant parts of my drive each day is on a dirt road through a wooded section. The road is quite picturesque as old roads can be.. In the picture included is a bridge on the dirt road which crosses a nice little brook. The brook has been open these past few days but our recent cold spell has slowed it down somewhat. Maybe I can get a picture of the brook tomorrow if I can get ahead of the approaching snow storm.

You can come up here any time! Local motel owners would love to see you {excess capacity once Notre Dame's basketball season is over}

This is the view from our living room; ridge leading up to the bypass will be very green in just a couple of months, but even now it has its own beauty - and ridge is sufficiently high that we don't notice noise. You'll notice bird-feeder just to the left of the cat {my wife says cats "have impure motives" in sharing her hobby of bird watching}.
