Well, I broke down and ordered a Nikon D810 with roughly 15,000 shutter actuations, leaving me with about 185,000 to use, meaning it should be like a new camera, it is rated as Excellent by MPB. It is supposed to arrive by next Thursday 4/4/2024.

Since most of my lenses are FX or 35mm film camera lenses, I won't have to buy lenses, FOR NOW. My version of the Trinity is my Nikon 17-35mm f/2.8, Nikon 28-70mm f/2.8 and Nikon 80-200mm f/2.8.

I will begin using it as soon as I have reviewed the Nikon D810 books and owners manual that comes with it, and done some settings changes or not.

David Busch recommends settings that I might use at least until I know better. That will be a long time coming, because there is so much the D810 is capable of that I need to learn. I might smarten up and enroll in a photography class here at Fresno Community College.

I have had mine for many years. I use for sports which it isn't the fastest fps 4-6 depending on what your settings are etc. It does a fine job with all shooting. You will enjoy this camera, don't know what you had before but once you learn how to use all it has to offer you will be happy you purchased. Have fun and practice, practice, practice! Thanks BE SAFE!!

I watched a video about Dollar General, which owns Dollar Tree. With 19,000 stores across the country, specializing in low-income areas, they have paid $20 million in fines in various states. The problem is that they raise the price in their database, but they do not raise the price on the shelf. You pick up an item marked $7.95, and you might pay $8.25. This type of practice is consistent across the country. One reason for the lack of shelf changing is the minimum staff in the stores. If one person is on the register and another is stocking shelves, who's going to change the price on the shelf?

Of course, if the shelf price must be changed, headquarters should inform the store. If they don't tell a particular store to raise certain prices, the prices stay low, but not in the register. A woman showed a receipt on which four out of seven items were overcharged.

Our Dollar Tree prices are $1.25 for 95% of their products. There are a few items for 3-4-5 dollars not 7 or 8 dollars. I live in Overland Park Kansas. Thanks BE SAFE!!

I have had an account with Zenfolio for several years. I create galleries for casual viewing, not for sales. I have about 2k images online. My main problem is that I am currently unable to view any of my photos. The thumbnails will not load into viewable size at all. Another problem is Zenfolio's current practice of the archiving of galleries. If want to view an archived gallery, you can theoretically restore it, but it may take 12 hours to do so. One more problem is the continuing upward spiral in price. It was $50 per year, then $60, now it is $77 for the "basic" plan. So, my fellow UHH readers, what say you about Flickr, or SmugMug? Or, any other place where I can create a nice site for family viewing (not just storage)?

I had Zenfolio for years and got rid of it a month or two ago. I used to have PhotoReflect 10-12 years ago, it worked just fine. Then thought Zen would work better. I have now gone back to PhotoReflect when I quit Zen. I am not sorry at all. I think they have a trial to see if you like it. Oh yea it only cost $9.00 a month and then a small 15% commerce fee. I used to think that was too much but 15 cents of a dollar you can easily make up on your photo sales price. Well, think about it. Thanks BE SAFE!!

I hear a lot of good things about pellet grills. I just haven't broke down and bought one yet. Thanks for looking.

My two sons kept telling me how wonderful it was and I finally broke down when they were having a sale at Lowes and bought one. It is so simple. You fire up wait for the smoke, then I put on 350 deg. and when it reaches that temp. (it has a temp gauge and different temp settings) I put the meat or whatever on the grill. Different times for different meats etc. For big thick chops we cook 15 min. go out and flip. Another 15 and the amazing chops are done. You don't have to stand over grill to make sure they are cooking right. To do ribs is awesome. Put on about 250-275 deg. 2-3 hours for good smoke ring, wrap and cook for another 8 hours or so and then the awesome meat comes off the grill. I don't think you would be disappointed at all. Thanks BE SAFE!!

My first time cooking pork chops on a cast iron griddle on the stove top. They turned out good but I like them better cooked on the Weber kettle grill.

I use a Pit Boss pellet grill and you can't beat the taste of all meats cooked on one of these. Thanks BE SAFE!!

I’d like to ask which of these photos would a sports publication prefer? This is Caitlin Clark launching a 3 point shot. Hopefully, Jules will weigh in.
These were taken from the bleachers with a Sony RX 10 IV so they aren’t the quality I could get with a better camera and lens but I can’t take anything better in.

OH yea Jules will probably chime in, if he has time. He is the MAN when it comes to Sport photos. thanks BE SAE!!

I shoot for MaxPreps.com Number 3 would be best for filling the frame. Little on the noisy side, Max probably wouldn't take any of these. Thanks keep shooting and practice, practice, practice!!BE SAFE!!

Sorry to say that this will be my last car post for a while, I'm all out of cars until I go to some more shows this summer.

Besides, it'll be Spring here in another two months & I've got things to do around the farm.

I have appreciated all your kind comments & I'm glad you've enjoyed viewing all this "Car Art".
