Very well detailed and an awesome image Marc .
Compliments all around, you've kept control over a really good set Jim and kept it professional. Real passion in your photography.
I love the detail you brought out in m31.
JN56 thank you, It took over a month to collect the data while I was collecting on m81 . I started collecting photons on m81 , then m82,m51 and finished with m63 using Sequence generator pro to acquire the data and watched Star trek "strange new worlds". Darks were taken while I slept each night, flats and bias were taken a month prior to starting this run of 4 targets. Nightscapes sounds like a lot of enjoyment, It's all part of enjoying and learning what you're doing whether it's lunar, planetary, solar or deep sky long exposure. It's all good!
Yes, I wish you could've seen the one that got away, 40+ Ha 17r18g17b. Thank you Buddy, it's about workflow and clean data, I try to catch the majority of photons high in the sky and sleep while darks are running wanting 40 or more each night . My neighbors trees have grown Ballard and my windows are always open the higher the target . I would love to shoot horizon to horizon, wishful thinking with all these hardwoods.
I've been dealing with tropical conditions here in the Carolinas for over a month . It got so hot n humid that my camera leaked oil onto my clear sensor window, looked over everything and cleaned the primary and secondary for S&G it's been 3 yrs since I cleaned it. This is my 1st run on m82 and it's taken over a month to collect a small amount of data until next time around . Meridian flipped subs were a real pita to align, patience patience patience !

I was thinking about trying that but, the way I see it. If it isn't broke and is doing well, don't mess with it. Teamviewer is my friend.
Simply amazed at your processing skills , I'm jealous Marc {awesome job} Happy 4th Marc. I've got data on 5 targets but, haven't got it the way I want it. I follow the workflow but, they're still not there yet.
That's the way to process "awesome work" , I've got the inner Ring and some outer ring data but, nowhere near enough for processing until I get out and catch some duo band. Hopefully I can get out sometime soon . As of now , I just got the final filter to fill my 8 pos. efw today , I'm plagued with clouds. I also had an oil leak from my camera that showed up in my Sunflower data which is a real bummer. I thought it might be a twig or a hair but, further inspection after taking the camera apart , proved what I didn't want to do and that was clean the glass over the sensor. It's done, So now to crack open the efw and load the 2 filters I just received. Ballard , you ever used a a dark frame filter? I thought what the hey , it'll save me from having to go outside and I got a light leak somewhere that I need to get rid of.
Yes , awesome 1st light . I bet you can't wait to get back out there catching photons.
You need to complete the entire setup of the guiding , you'll be amazed at the results . Just saying are you using N.I.N.A for acquisition? It is a nice start of the great globular cluster in Hercules.
Ballard , it's a really good start on m57 . I can't wait to view the final , I can start to see some blooming outside the red ring. { Kudos} !
I'm sure glad someone has some images of the transit , I enjoy our star even though I don't image it. alberio well done processing .
