I have been reworking 2010 Grand Canyon photos with 16-bit ACR processing and yesterday saw another's post of a beautiful canyon sunrise. Rather than highjacking that thread, I post here one of our sunrise photos just after a light snowfall back in December 2010. Suggestions/criticisms welcome.

Taken with an earlier D60, Large/Fine, not raw, but reprocessed as raw in 16-bit mode, which improved the shadow and highlight details.

Handheld, ISO 100, 22mm, f-8, 1/125.

That cave shot was done with a fisheye lens? Good shot! Made me dizzy to look at it.

The cave interiors are quite interesting! Very nicely done. Foggy forest is a lovely composition - very appealing.

Just Checked up on these critters. They are Green Fig Beatles, and are often mistaken for the Green Scarab.

Nice shots. I like the second one best, the beetle is looking more toward the camera. I think these are Emerald Scarab Beetles but I'm not sure.

Thanks, I am glad you like them....I believe those buggers can make lots of damages to plants, almost like lotuses.
