Slight compositional and exposure settings at the time of taking the photograph would help. Shifting the subject slightly to the left would improve the composition. Also, including the subject's entire left leg would help, as well.

As for tonality, it would help to place the important tones at the time of exposure and develop the shadows during processing.

Hello,

I keep looking at this and the more I look at it the more frustrated I get. I just can't seem to get the contrast and whites right I don't think. Any help, suggestions and critique would be great.

Thank you very much in advance

Some years ago, I purchased a 28~300 Nikkor. I have been very pleased with the results I've gotten with this lens. It's now the lens of choice when coupling it with my Gigapan head.

Hello my UHH family,

I'm interested in an FX wide angle zoom for a nikon D500. I have a 28-300mm FX lens that I use on my full frame DSLR; however, I would like to have an FX version that would have a wider angle, possibly 14 or 18mm that I can use on my D500. The 28-300mm will work just fine but it makes the wide angle 42mm which makes it impossible in areas where I'm not able to physically move back far enough to get the shot. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I would really like to stay with a Nikkor lens.

A few questions to Ponder......

• Why is it when archaeologists find human remains, they always determine that they are either male or female and none of the other hundreds of g****rs?

• Why is it that so many are more outraged that Brittney Griner was stuck in Russia than they were about Americans being stranded in Afghanistan?

• How is it that the government can’t control gasoline prices…but the weather is something they can fix?

Regis, oddly enough, one of my first thoughts this morning, yes I have thoughts every so often, was I hadn't seen you post anything lately. I'm not saying you hadn't. I just hadn't noticed. And, here you are. Nice one, Regis.

To answer the question posed in the title, 'tis easier to ask forgiveness than get permission.

IMHO - NO! But we should get permission to publish those pics in any shape or form.
If we see a picture to shoot - walk not talk, but to get permission first might lose what we saw.
ALWAYS offer a freebie of the shot and get permission to publish.
I don't do street - simply because I believe in privacy, whereas many "street" photogs seem to invade people's privacy without a second thought.

I'm not into best, better, etc. when it comes to the arts. So, I'm glad you labeled it "favorite". My personal favorites are a combination of three pieces, whether they be dances. suites. etc. which were three I recorded some decades ago. Some of the best, sort of stressful, hours I've ever spent in a recording studio.

I do like your choices, as well.
