I already own an 80D but have an opportunity to buy a 5D Mark ll. Do I need to get the 5D $575.00, or is the 80D a better camera. Or should I just own both?

I know somebody that is selling a Canon 5D Mark 2 for $575. It has 57,000 shutter count, should I take it? It is also in perfect condition no scuffs or marks.

I think that is a good balance, and as the world changes you have the ability to use the graphic elements in different ways.

Good luck.

I included one of my drone photos, and one photo of a recent wedding I shot.

Thank you all for your input, and words of wisdom. This is the one I chose. It shows I'm a photographer, and offer drone photos as well.

I do mainly photography work but I do offer my drone services. I wanted them to make the camera bigger and take the drone and make it smaller and just put it in the upper right-hand side of the camera, to let people know that I do offer drone photography. The person that I have doing the logo for me is from FIVERR. They claim to be professionals I hope that is true.

The first logo doesn't reflect the nature of your business; it implies general photography. The components in the second logo are better, however the drone/camera graphic overpowers the business name. I'd make the graphic smaller, so that the eye is drawn to "CAPTURED MOMENTS". Don't make the camera bigger; the proportion under the drone is realistic.

The designer should give you the logo in both black and white and both should be on transparent backgrounds.

To those who commented about the registered "R", that's part of the designer's logo which is on a layer beneath the client logo. The designer will remove it once he/she has been paid.

Is the designer a graphic artist? The drone and camera seem to be clip art. That's OK as long as you're paying for the layout and not paying for original art.

(I owned a sign company and designed many logos before retiring.)

Well.....I thought this was a site to come to for other photographers to get together and share photos and ask others opinion? And what are you applying about that I am not ready for?

Do you shoot primarily form a drone, then the second one, if your a general photographer, the first one. You could also just flip a coin. And why would you ever come here for such a PERSONAL decision. And if you have to ask us about your professional decisions then maybe your not ready.

I hear you, I have requested the camera be larger and the drone be smaller it the upper right corner. I use the drone for weddings, parties, realtors, etc....Brings in allot of money.

You are right, I wasn't clear, but publishing your phone number isn't always good, I'm glad that you have removed it from your UHH sig. On a business card it is just fine, but I think you understand.

If your business is drone centric, then I think your logos are going in a good direction, but you might want to have a different logo (camera but no drone) if you also do non drone related stuff.

It is a sensitive issue for a number of reasons, not least the air misses and intrusion on privacy concerns...

I have not given the ok for the logo yet, hence the watermark from the company. It will go away once i finalize it. They are also going to give me a transparent logo.

Not a huge fan of the "waterseal" over the logo. Chances are you'll already be putting this over an image with some sort of transparency. If you do you'll loose the waterseal part. Consider how this will look on a dark image vs on a light image. And then there's the tough 50% contrast backgrounds.

Are you truly going to "register" your logo...there are fees associated with it. If not, dump the register mark.

Please tell the designer to use optical kerning, and take it off of auto. The "CA" is touching at the the bottom.

That's it for now...

toptrainer,
Personally, I really like the second one. What I like is the fact you included the drone since you are doing drone photography. I do agree with you, I think the camera should be a bit larger, but why move it from under the drone? I like it there because it specifically states you do drone photography without the words. Separating them might leave potential clients confused. Please let us know which way you go and if you do choose the 2nd one let us know how you decided to place the drone and the camera.
