It is good the bottom half was in the water for so many years, that way it got preserved. LOL.

Amazon still has new D500's. They have them as kits with lenses such as the Nikon 200-500mm and 16-80mm.

At the moment used kit is what I would go for but thanks for your reply!

D500 is DX and gives you the 1.5X multiplier factor, which can be extremely useful for birders.

D750 is FX, so you do not get that multiplier effect.

Neither camera appears to be in production any more. B&H has some new, but gray market D500s. You won't find many new ones anywhere else. Even Nikon doesn't have any refurbished. They do still list D500 as "backordered", but the retailers are all showing it "discontinued". The D750 was superseded by the D780 a couple years ago.

Thanks👍

The speed of the D500 might be your best choice!

Great set, love the action shots. I to have never seen a heron in full attack mode like this but have seen a Mocking Bird case Heron all over the lot. The Mocking Bird did not like anything intruding in it's home area, saw this guy also
chase a Osprey away.

Never the less this is a great set.

Thanks for having a look !
