Bought that a couple of days after getting the camera. It's now on my iPad, PC laptop, and iTouch. It'll take awhile to get through it.

Just got my A6000/18-55/55-210 From B&H on May 4. Definitely a lot to learn about all the possibilities. I'm grinning so far (well, maybe a little disappointed in the 18-55, but maybe just haven't hit on its best setup yet).

Thanks for looking, guys. The first one is definitely my favorite.

That is one well used knothole! Great idea but I probably like my peanut butter too much to share. They'll have to be satisfied with the constant source of sunflower seeds we provide.

absolutely beautiful result. Thanks for sharing.

When I was a kid my grandfather's neighbor had a big old John Deere single cylinder model with a fly wheel that was a couple of feet across and weighed hundreds of pounds. The engine got the flywheel up to speed and then kept it spinning. When it idled that single cylinder was going so slow you could hear each and every stroke . For a couple of miles around you knew when it was running, this great, deep CHUFF at each stroke. You could walk faster than it, but when that fly wheel was up to speed it just didn't know how to stop pulling, no matter how heavy the load.

I didn't realize JD made a single cylinder. Maybe I'm not as old as I assumed. I thought the one I drove as a kid was ancient and it had two cylinders and the very large flywheel. That flywheel made for relatively easy hand cranking. And yeah, being able to hear each and every firing gave it that "Popping Johnny" characteristic sound.

Super shot of the jay.
Glad you used the neutral wire to hang your feeder. Would hate to shock the birds with a hot one. ;)

That first shot was worth the trip.

Welcome. Sunsets have always been a favorite of mine.

Man, you guys are cold. Our two sons were, and are, the best.

I absolutely love it when someone devises a DIY solution to a problem rather than throw chunks money at it. Homemade stuff rocks!

Took my brand spanky new Sony A6000 on a walk today to start learning how to use it. Took a ton of shots, most of which I discarded. I found I left the 55-210 kit lens on most of the time and found myself already wishing for a longer reach, but I don't think my pocketbook can stand another hit right now. But, I'm really liking this little mirrorless so far.
Anyway, this little guy ran up a tree nearby and looked down. Within good range of the 210 end.
I've done no PP. Couldn't even figure out how to get the RAW image into PSE. That'll come I reckon.
C&C always welcome.

I didn't catch what this mass of humanity was there for, but scanning the crowd closely I can definitely state that it was not an AARP convention. I didn't see a single face that looked to even approach 40.

It's unreal how often this happens. I've got stuff that I haven't used in 20 years but as soon as I get rid of it a need will arise. Really weird.
