I went there once a week for over a month waiting to get this shot. Yep, it was worth it.
I've had inquiries about the same thing so will be watching for any helpful responses here. Very good question.
Nothing overdone about this picture. It's beautiful! Very well done.

For this rain, we give thanks.
This is so beautiful! May I share this picture with some of my friends on Facebook? Of course, I'll give credit if that is ok.
Thanks
I like them the way they are. Did make a couple of adjustments before posting though. They both are in color, just the first one was about 6 am. LOL
Took one before breakfast then the second after.
Canon T3i with a Tamron 18-270 lens
You will want to consider the Tamron 18 - 270 lens. At this time it's the only one I use and it's sharp as a razor. Haven't found anything negative about it.
Just my thoughts.

I'm a die hard Canon user and have used the Canon DPP. No way Jose! Stick with Photoshop. There's nothing better in my opinion.
Here is a link to the Farmers Branch Historical Park:
Thanks Tom

What history detail is being celebrated and memoralized by this park?
Not sure about the history. Just like the place.
Farmers Branch, Tx Historical Park and canal. Very pretty.
Firmware is the software installed in the camera. If you purchase a camera and it doesn't have the latest, you can "hook" up the camera to your computer and upgrade it. In my opinion, it is foolish to pay full retail for a product from a manufacturer just to get the latest firmware when it can be installed for free later, if it does not have it already installed at the time of purchase. Just my thoughts.
I bought this lens in December for my Canon T3i and wouldn't want to be without it. No bad points at all in my opinion.
