Wow, this is a very telling topic. The frustration levels are thru the roof. Why not reply "look in your manual" or "if you do'nt have a manual the company will send you one" or there are many web sites that will explain that in detail, or ,JUST IGNOR the question, and look to next one that does'nt bother you. I'm sure most newbies do'nt want to make anyone mad, they are just trying to to get an easier to understand answer. By the way anyone out there know how to turn on a d300s? I've tried wine , choc, soft music, nothing seems to work.

Have you tried exposing yourself to it?

This holds fairly true with any profession. Remember, a Dr. PRACTICES medicine, just like an attorney PRACTICES law. A license doesn't make you a pro. Just look at the other drivers out there, they might all be licensed, but there are licensed drivers who shouldn't be behind the wheel.

I agree with Myron. See his reaction as you get a picture of him shooting the kids. If he gets all weird, then I'd definetly call the cops. If you can't do that, maybe a picture of him in his car along with license plates. Also note the date/time it occured along with location. It's better to be safe than sorry, especially when the kids are involved.

Get the best one you can afford. I work in Yosemite natl. park and see people all the time putting a high dollar camera on a dime store tripod. I cringe every time I see it. Try to get one that can handle different heads. ie. video/slr.
